Well, I have been involved with MythTV instead, specifically KnoppMyth and have been playing around with it to achieve the following goals.
Lately I have moved to MiniMyth thin client solution to bring down the temperature. The harddisk was producing to much heat. I am trying to make the IR work for the moment. Progress report on these pages.
This site is very helpfull in flashing your BIOS without using floppy drive (if you don't have one).
